The New Mexico Referendum: Limiting Legislators' Per Diem and Mileage, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 5, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The referendum limited the per diem and mileage allowance for legislators.[1]
