Nikiya Harris Dodd was a member of the Milwaukee Common Council in Wisconsin, representing District 5. Dodd assumed office in 2019. Dodd left office on November 25, 2022.

Dodd ran for re-election to the Milwaukee Common Council to represent District 5 in Wisconsin. Dodd won in the general election on April 7, 2020.

Dodd is a former Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing District 6 from 2012 to 2017.

Harris won election in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Senate, District 6. Harris defeated five challengers - Elizabeth Coggs, Michael Bonds, Michael Mayo, Allyn Monroe Swan, and Delta Triplett - in the August 14th Democratic primary and[5] was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]

Furthermore, Walker reduced the budget for breast and cervical cancer screenings. These are medical tests that save women’s lives! We must find the money to fund these important medical care."
