Nilda Morales-Horowitz is a judge for the Westchester County Family Court in New York. She has served in this position since 2001, following her election. She also serves on the Westchester County Family Treatment Court and has been an acting justice for the Westchester County Supreme Court since 2005. She was re-elected to the Family Court in 2010 and her current term ends in 2020.[1][2]

Education

Horowitz attended Manhattan College for a Bachelor of Arts degree and Hofstra University Law School to earn a J.D. degree.[1][3]

Career

Horowitz, prior to becoming a judge, worked as a Family Court Hearing Examiner, a Deputy County Attorney and Family Court Bureau Chief in Westchester County, and as a Judge for the New York State Workers Compensation Board. She then joined the Family Court bench in 2001 and worked on the Westchester Family Treatment Court. She became an Acting Supreme Court Justice in 2005.[1][2]
