North Dakota Coal Mineral Interest Exchanges Referendum, Measure 1 (1986)

The North Dakota Coal Mineral Interest Exchanges Referendum, also known as Measure 1, was on the June 10, 1986 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure allowed state coal mineral interests to be exchanged for lands or coal mineral interests of the United States federal government by the board of university and school lands.[2]
