Oymin Chin was a judge for the New York City Housing Court of Kings County in New York. She served in this position from June of 1998 to 2011.[1][2] Oymin passed away in July 2011.[3]

Education

Chin received her undergraduate degree from Hunter College and her J.D. degree from the Seton Hall University School of Law.[1]

Career

Chin began her career in 1982 as an associate of the law firm of Chou, Koshack & DeSena. The following year, she began working for MFY Legal Services. She worked there until 1987, when she became a New York Assistant Attorney General. She then worked from 1996 until her judicial appointment in 1998 as a clinical professor for St. John's University School of Law. She was appointed a Housing Court judge in 1998.[1]
