PaTricia Freeman is a judge for District 4 of the Nebraska Court of Appeals. She assumed office on July 1, 2025. Her current term ends on January 4, 2029.
Freeman previously served as a judge of the Second District County Court in Nebraska. She was appointed by Gov. Pete Ricketts (R) on Septmeber 7, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Stefanie A. Martinez to the Second District Court.[1]
Governor of Nebraska Jim Pillen (R) appointed Freeman to the Nebraska Court of Appeals on April 10, 2025 to replace David Arterburn.[2]
Biography
Freeman earned a B.S. in education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law.[1]
At the time of her appointment to the Second District County Court in 2017, Freeman was the chief deputy county attorney for the Sarpy County Attorney's Office. Her experience also includes service as an adjunct faculty member for Creighton University School of Law and as the chair of the Nebraska State Bar Commission.[1]
