Bergley ran in the 2012 election for Minnesota House of Representatives District 32A. He was unopposed in the Constitution Party primary on August 14 and was defeated by Brian Johnson (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]

Bergley ran for election to the District 17A seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He was defeated by Kurt Daudt (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
