Paul Czajka

Paul Czajka was a judge for the Columbia County Family Court, Columbia County Surrogate's Court and the Columbia County Court in New York. He was first elected to this position in 1995.[1] He was re-elected in 2005 with a term ending in 2014, but he retired in May 2011 in order to run for Columbia County District Attorney, a position he previously held from 1988 to 1994.[2] He has also served as an acting justice of the Columbia County Supreme Court.[3]
Education
Czajka received his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1977 and his J.D. degree from the Western New England College/School of Law in 1981.[1]
Career
Czajka began his career in 1982 as a private practice lawyer. He worked in this capacity until 1986 and was an Assistant Columbia County District Attorney from 1981 to 1985. In 1986 and 1987, he was a Columbia County Public Defender. He then worked as a District Attorney in Columbia County from 1988 to 1994. In 1995, he was elected to the County, Surrogate's and Family courts.[1]
