Paul Gurney is a judge for the Tenth Judicial District in Kansas. He was appointed in February 2013 by Governor Sam Brownback to replace retired judge Thomas H. Bornholdt. He was retained in 2014 for a term that expired on January 13, 2019.[1]

Gurney was retained to District 10 with 61.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2] 

Education

Gurney received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his J.D. from the University of Kansas.[3]

Career

At the time of his appointment to the bench, Gurney was working as a senior trial counsel for a law firm from 1999 to 2013.[1]
