Campaign themes

2017

Brewer highlighted the following statement on her campaign website:

I am asking for your vote:

I believe in education and its importance to successful and rewarding lives of our students.
I believe in the potential of our students and capacity of our educators.
I support providing resources for classrooms instruction, constructing sage and efficient schools, improving student achievement and preparing students for future careers, recruiting and retaining the best teachers and leaders, celebrating the accomplishments of students and staff, and maintaining a sound financial budget.
I believe two major issues face our schools: teacher shortage and budget constraints.
My decisions are guided by 'what is best for all students.'
I want to serve on the board to support the education of our students
There is no more important work we do than to care and education our children
I welcome your ideas and suggestions
Together, great schools educate great students; great students create a great community.[4]
