Perry to run for State Senate in 2012

Pierre, South Dakota: State Representative Tad Perry (R) has announced his 2012 candidacy for the South Dakota State Senate. Perry, a representative of District 24, will run for the District 24 Senate seat. The district's current senator, Bob Gray (R), is term limited in 2012. District 24 covers parts of Hughes, Stanley and Sully Counties.[1]
Perry's fellow District 24 representative, Mark Venner (R), plans to seek re-election to the House. No other candidates have announced for the race.[1]
