Phillip A. Romero
Phillip A. Romero ran for judge of the Valencia County Magistrate Court, Division 3 in New Mexico in 2010. He ran again in 2014 for election to the Valencia County Magistrate Court, this time for Division 2.[1]

Romero ran for election to the Valencia County Magistrate Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 57.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Jodie M. Gallegos and Albert Jose Tapia.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.1 percent of the vote. He competed against John R. Chavez.

Romero lost to incumbent Republican John W. Sanchez in the general election to the magistrate court.[3]

Education
Romero received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico.[4]
Career
Romero has been the chief clerk of the New Mexico Thirteenth Judicial District Court. He has held this position since 2001. He has also served as an alternate municipal court judge for the Village of Los Lunas, New Mexico.[4]
