Phillip K. Sinclair
Phillip K. Sinclair is a family court judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in 2010.[2][3] He was re-elected in February 2019.[4]
Education
Sinclair received his B.A. in English from Wofford College in 1975 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1978.[5]
Career
After graduating from law school, Sinclair clerked for a circuit court judge. Next, he served as an assistant solicitor for three years and up until his election to the Seventh Judicial Circuit, he worked in private practice. Sinclair also served as a representative in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2001 to 2006.[5]
