Phillip Pena is a judge for the Eighth Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected to the court in 2014 for a six-year term commencing on January 6, 2015, and expiring on January 4, 2021.[1][2]

Education
Pena received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from Florida State University.[3]
Career
Before his election to the Eighth Circuit Court, Pena served as a judge for the Alachua County Court. He was appointed to the Alachua County Court by Governor Rick Scott in March 2012 and served there until he assumed the bench on the Eighth Circuit Court.[3] Prior to his judicial career, Pena worked as a prosecutor with the state's Eighth Judicial Circuit. He served from 2001 through 2009, and then rejoined the office in 2011. He also previously spent a year in private practice with the Keller Law Office.[3]
