Pierce City Existing Property Tax Repeal question was approved on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Lawrence County, which is in Missouri.
If the measure that incorporates the new Pierce City Fire Protection District and establishes a new property tax is approved and this measure is approved, the current property tax levy of 1.2 mills ($1.2 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) would be repealed.[1]

“ | If the voters approve the creation of the Pierce City Fire Protection District which includes creation of a real estate tax of $0.30 per $100.00 assessed value, shall the existing tax within the Pierce City municipal limits of twelve cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation currently in place be repealed?
