Pleasantville Additional Property Tax, Measure A (November 2009)
There was a Pleasantville Additional Property Tax, Measure A on the November 3 ballot in Marion County for voters in Pleasantville.
The measure failed.[1]
This measure sought to add a $.81 tax on property in the area in order to help fund the development, maintenance and operation of the Memorial Building.[2]
The ballot read:
"Shall a tax, not to exceed eighty one cents per thousand dollars of assessed values, be levied for development, operation and maintenance of the Memorial Building located at 101 N. Jefferson, Pleasantville, Iowa?"
