Randal G.B. Valenciano is the chief judge and Administrative Judge of the Kaua`i Fifth Circuit of Hawaii. He also serves as a senior judge on the Kaua`i Fifth Circuit Family Court. He was nominated by Gov.Linda Lingle, approved by the Hawaii Senate, and sworn in on June 14, 2007. His term expires on June 13, 2017.[1][2][3]

Education

Hara earned a B.S. in political science from the University of Oregon, and a J.D. from the University of Washington.[4]

Career

Valenciano began his legal career as a deputy public defender (1983-1984). He then worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney for Kaua'i County (1984-1987) before becoming a private practice lawyer. He practiced with the firm Valenciano & Zenger and then started his own firm (1996), the Law Offices of Randal Valenciano, where he worked until his judicial appointment.[5][6]
