Randy Hefner

Randy Hefner is a judge of the Fifth District Court in Iowa. He was appointed by Governor Chet Culver in December 2010 to succeed William H. Joy.[1] His current term expires in 2018.
Education
Hefner received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1975 and his J.D. from the Drake University Law School in 1978.[1]
Career
Hefner began his legal career practicing with the law firm of Shaff, Farwell & Senneff. He left in 1979 to join the Van Werden & Hulse Law Firm. He then became a partner of the firm now known as Van Werden, Hulse & Hefner in 1982 and he worked in this capacity until 2000. That year, he formed the Hefner, Bergkamp & Rhoads Law Firm, where he continues to practice (although the firm is currently named the Hefner & Bergkamp Law Firm).[1]
2012 election
Hefner was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 74.09% of the vote.[2][3]
