Renee Raymond is a magistrate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She was appointed to the court in December of 2013.[1]

Education

Raymond earned her B.A. from Yale College, graduating cum laude and her J.D. from New York University Law School.[1]

Professional career

Prior to joining the court, Raymond worked for the Washington D.C. Public Defender Service for more than 20 years. As well as serving as Public Defender she also served as the Training Directer from 2006 to 2010. While with the Public Defender Service she developed and provided an intensive training program for eight attorneys from China.[1]

Judicial career

Renee Raymond was appointed to be a magistrate judge by Chief Judge Lee F. Satterfield in December of 2013.[1]
