Richard A. Nielsen
Richard A Nielsen was a judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2000, and he was re-elected without opposition in 2008 and 2014.[1][2][3] His six-year term expired on January 4, 2021.[4]

As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot.

Education
Nielsen was born in Evanston, Illinois on December 15, 1949. He received his B.A. degree from the University of New Mexico in 1971 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida in 1973.[1][5]
Career
Nielsen practiced with the law firm of Salem, Saxon & Nielsen from 1982 until he was appointed to the circuit court in 2000.[1][5]
