Richard Molea is an acting justice for the New York Supreme Court 9th Judicial District and a judge of the Court of Claims in New York. He was appointed to this position in 2000 and has served on the Westchester County Supreme Court. He was reappointed to the Court of Claims in 2006. He has also served as a supervising judge of the Criminal Courts for the 9th Judicial District and as the presiding judge of the Westchester Count Mental Health Court since 2005.[1][2]

Education

Molea received his B.A. degree from Iona College in 1966 and his J.D. degree from the New York Law School in 1969.[1]

Career

Prior to his judicial career, Molea worked as an executive assistant for the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. He was appointed a judge of the Court of Claims and an Acting Supreme Court Justice in 2000. In 2005, he was also appointed Supervising Judge of the 9th Judicial District Criminal Courts and Presiding Judge of the Westchester County Mental Health Court.[1]
