Curtis Rob Tobin III is a resident judge of the Seventeenth Circuit Court in Illinois. He serves in Belvidere.[1] He was elected to the court in 2010.[2] Tobin was retained in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Education

Tobin earned a B.S. from Northwestern University, going on to receive his J.D. from the University of Tulsa. He was admitted to the bar in 1995.[3]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2010, Tobin practiced law in Boone County for 15 years.[4]

Judges of the Illinois Circuit Court stand for retention after their first full term. To be retained, a judge must receive at least 60 percent of the vote.[5][6] Rob Tobin was retained in the Illinois Seventeenth Circuit Court, Rob Tobin Retention Election with 82.82 percent of the vote.
