Rob Wallace is a former state representative for District 47 from 1994 to 2002. He was selected by the Republican Party as their replacement for Jim Norman on the November ballot for District 12 in the Florida State Senate in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. Wallace ran in the 2012 election for Florida State Senate District 17.

Wallace ran in the 2012 election for Florida State Senate District 17. Wallace was defeated by John Legg in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012.[3]

Wallace was chosen by party leaders to replace Jim Norman after he was disqualified due to an election lawsuit brought by Kevin Ambler, whom Norman defeated in the primary.[4] However, on October 27 the initial decision was reversed and Norman was put back on the ballot.[5]
