Robert H. Sandwich, Jr.
Robert H. Sandwich, Jr. is a circuit court judge for the 5th Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Bob McDonnell on July 18, 2013. Sandwich was elected and re-elected by the Virginia General Assembly in January 2014 and March 2022, respectively.[2][3]
Education
Sandwich received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1997.[4]
Career
Sandwich served as an assistant commonwealth attorney for the City of Suffolk from 2007 until his appointment to the 5th Judicial Circuit in July 2013. He has also served in this capacity for the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach and has previously worked as an attorney in private practice, specializing in criminal defense.[2][4]
