Robert M. Mandelbaum
Robert M. Mandelbaum is a judge of the New York City Criminal Court. His current term ends on December 31, 2027.

Education
Mandelbaum received his A.B. degree from Brown University in 1987 and his J.D. degree from the New York University School of Law in 1990.[1]
Career
Mandelbaum began his career in 1990 as a staff attorney in the Criminal Defense Division of The Legal Aid Society. He worked in that position until 1994 and then from 2001 to 2002. After that, he continued to serve at The Legal Aid Society as an acting director of training until 2003. He also worked at the New York University School of Law as an acting assistant professor of Clinical Law and a supervising attorney of the Criminal Defense Clinic (1994-1997, 1999-2001) and then as a research instructor in law of The Lawyering Program (1997-1999). He served briefly in 2003 as an associate attorney of New York County Defender Services. He then served as a principal law clerk to New York Chief Judge Judith Kaye from 2003 until his judicial appointment in 2006.
Mandelbaum was appointed to the New York City Civil Court as an interim judge in November of 2006. He was then appointed a judge of the Criminal Court in 2008.[1]
