Ron Sutter is a judge of the Eighteenth Circuit Court in Illinois.[1] He was elected to the court in 2010.[2] Sutter was retained in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Education
Sutter earned a B.S. from Illinois State University in 1977, going on to receive his J.D. from the University of Illinois in 1980.[3]

Judges of the Illinois Circuit Court stand for retention after their first full term. To be retained, a judge must receive at least 60 percent of the vote.[4][5] Ron Sutter was retained in the Illinois Eighteenth Circuit Court, Ronald Sutter Retention Election with 79.92 percent of the vote.
