Rustin Davenport

Rustin Davenport is a judge on the Second District of Iowa. He was appointed on September 19, 2010 to replace retiring Judge John S. Mackey.[1][2]
Education
Davenport earned his undergraduate degree from Drake University in 1982 and his law degree, with Distinction, from the University of Iowa in 1985.[3]
Career
Judge Davenport was a Law Clerk for the Second Judicial District from 1985-1986, a Law Clerk for the Honorable David R. Hansen, United States District Court Judge, Northern District of Iowa from 1986-1988. Judge Davenport was in private practice from 1988-2010. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, Judicial District 2A Bar Association, and the Cerro Gordo County Bar Association.[3]
2012 election
Davenport was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 77.47% of the vote.[4][5]
