This measure was not put on an election ballot |
A San Francisco Modification of Budget Set-Asides was suggested as a possible ballot measures for a special June 2, 2009 election ballot in San Francisco, but this did not ultimately come to pass.[1]
San Francisco County Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi sponsored putting the measure on the June ballot.
The measure, if it had gone on a ballot and if it had been approved by voters, would have:
- Modified voter-mandated spending levels for libraries, symphony, cops, and other budget set-asides.
- Allowed the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the Mayor of San Francisco to use set-aside dollars for other purposes in time of large deficits.
