Hayne ran for election to the King County Northeast Division.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48 percent of the vote. She competed against Ketu Shah.

Hayne received a B.S. from the University of Connecticut in 1984, and a J.D. from Quinnipiac School of Law in 1986.[2]
Career
Hayne is an attorney in private practice. She has worked at multiple firms, including her own practice, the Law Office of Sarah Bierce. She has also served as a deputy prosecutor in King County.[2]
