Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey Architecture is an architectural design and bond issue advocacy firm headquartered and founded in Wichita Kansas. The firm was founded in 1957 and began as a two man firm. SJCFA now has offices in Wichita and Albequerque, NM.
Principals
SJCF has seven principal partners in the firm. There are only three founding partners, Joseph Johnson, Kenton Cox and Samuel Frey. Each founding principal has more than 30 years with SJCFA[1]
Other principals of the firm include Edward Koser, Brad Biddle, Shannon Bohm and Terry Wiggers.
Business Segments
The architectural firm provides design services for many notable Wichita buildings including Sedgwick County Detention facility for Sedgwick County, Kansas and the corporate headquarters for Koch Industries.
School Bond Issue Services
For nearly 50 years, Schaefer Johsnon Cox Frey has developed a business segment in Kansas school bond elections.[2] The firm engages in bond issue campaign planning and public engagement. The company is the benefactor for the bond approval. In 2008, SJCF is engaging in a bond issue campaign surrounding the $350 million Wichita school bond election (2008) that will go before voters in November of 2008.
