Scott A. Collier is a superior court judge for the Clark County Superior Court in Clark County, Washington. He has served as a judge for the court since 1997.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Democratic Governor Christine Gregoire in July 2008 and assumed office on September 1, 2008.[2]

Collier won re-election in 2016. He was unopposed in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Education

Collier received his undergraduate degree from Washington State University in 1980 and his J.D. from the Gonzaga University School of Law in 1983.[1]

Career

Before he became a judge, Collier served as a court commissioner from 1995 to 2008 and worked as an attorney in private practice.[1][2]

Washington held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Candidates for district and superior court seats had to file for election by May 20, 2016. Primary elections were held on August 2, 2016, for six seats where more than two candidates filed for election. Incumbent Scott Collier ran unopposed in the Clark Superior Court nonpartisan general election for Position 10.[3]
