Sean Lyttle
Sean Lyttle was a candidate for Ward 4 representative on the Las Vegas City Council in Nevada. He was defeated in the primary election on April 4, 2017.
Lyttle was also a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 37 of the Nevada State Assembly.
Biography
Lyttle earned a bachelor's degree in theater from Rhodes College and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.[1]
At the time of his 2017 run for office, Lyttle owned his own law practice. His professional experience includes work in the theater, as a nightlife executive, and as an associate attorney at the law firms Hall Jaffe Clayton LLP and Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. He has also served as a pro bono attorney for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and a member of the Nevada and Clark County Bar Associations, the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, ProNet of Las Vegas, and the Infinity Networking Group.[1][2]

2017
The city of Las Vegas, Nevada, held a primary election for city council on April 4, 2017. A general election was scheduled for June 13, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 3, 2017.
The city council seats in Wards 2, 4, and 6 were up for election in the primary, and the Wards 2 and 6 races advanced to the general election. Ward 6 Councilman Steven D. Ross was not eligible to run for re-election due to term limits.[3] Incumbent Stavros S. Anthony defeated Deborah Harris, Sean Lyttle, and Jon Edge in the primary election for the Ward 4 seat on the Las Vegas City Council.[4]
