South Dakota Supreme Court denies Marciela Diaz's appeal to be tried as juvenile

South Dakota: The South Dakota Supreme Court has upheld the ruling of the South Dakota Circuit Courts in the case of Marciela Diaz. Diaz is charged with five counts of murder, kidnapping and arson in connection with the death of Jasmine Guevara. Diaz, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Guanajuato, Mexico, asked to be tried as a juvenile in her trial scheduled for March 2012. Her accomplice Alexander Salgado pled guilty to second degree murder in August 2010 and has been sentence to life in prison without parole.[1]
