Resident Rich Perry started a Facebook group through which he announced the intention to initiate recall proceedings against Dixson, Kopkowski and Ryzyi. Perry said that, as of January 14, 2014, petition language had been drafted and would be submitted to the county clerk's office for approval soon. If the petition language is approved, recall proponents will begin gathering signatures. If they collected enough valid signatures, a recall election would have been scheduled or added to an existing ballot.
