St Petersburg City Charter Amendments, 8 (November 2011)
Eight St Petersburg City Charter Amendment measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of St Petersburg which is in Pinellas County.
Seven of the eight measures were approved
The first measure sought to increase the length of the lease on Port properties to 25 years.

The second measure sought to allow the council to give tax exemptions to new or expanding businesses in the city.

The third measure sought to make it that the council must adopt a ordinance which establishes criteria for the Waterfront development and a master plan for the Waterfront area.

The fourth measure sought to establish a citizen committee to establish the council district boundaries.

- NO 9,320 (42.88%)
The fifth measure sought to make it that the city council must consider an Management Evaluation every two years, but is not required to conduct it.

The sixth measure sought to require that the city hold a public hearing before any change is made to the city budget which transfers money from one fund to another.

The seventh measure sought to make it that the Mayor must submit a balanced budget for approval.

The question on the ballot:
| Amendment 1: Shall the City Charter be amended to increase the length of leases on the Port property, including abutting submerged lands, from 10 years to 25 years, that can be authorized by a City Council resolution approved by no less than six members of City Council, without the need for a referendum or notice to surrounding properties, in order to encourage private investment, economic development, income for the City and reduction of the Port subsidy?[3] |
