I've been a Hilliard school district homeowner and taxpayer for 21 years and am a local small business owner (Stasi Trout Fitness Training, LLC). My husband and I have two children who attend Davidson High School. I have volunteered for Komen Columbus, Pelotonia, and St. Brendan church as well as the HCSD in many capacities (i.e. PTOs leadership, sports boosters); the largest and most significant being a 2016 parent chair for the Hilliard City Schools Issue 58. I'm gratified that one tangible outcome of that effort was the opening of the new Memorial Middle School. All of these rewarding volunteer commitments, collaborating with students, staff, parents and community members, coupled with my passion to serve is why I am now seeking an elected position as the common sense, experienced, and transparent parent voice on the Hilliard City School Board.
  • Common sense parent voice
  • Experienced, committed volunteer
  • Fiscally responsible and knowledgeable about school finances
Communication between the stakeholders, school and community leaders;

Ensuring ALL students continue to be Ready for Tomorrow;

Student safety and social-emotional well being.
I am a committed and experienced parent volunteer; I have worked effectively in large groups as a team player as well as a team chair person. I know how to listen, to communicate, to delegate, to motivate and to engage others.
Cashier at McDonald's; a few years in high-school.
The school board should work with the superintendent and administration as a unified team representing the staff and stakeholders in creating, amending, and enforcing policies. The Hilliard City School mission is to ensure that every student is "Ready For Tomorrow". The primary role of the school board is to hold the hired administration and staff to this promise.
Residents (including students) and staff of the Hilliard City School District as well as community leaders.
As an elected BOE member I will encourage the continued improvement of communication between the District and civic organizations. I will be available and approachable for parents, stakeholders, students, and staff to communicate with. As a working parent, I understand all too well how busy everyone is and often times parents are only involved with the BOE when they are unhappy with a situation due to time constraints. I will work with the administration to strengthen our community outreach with task forces, coffee talks, library meet/greets, etc.
I will learn more about and become m involved with the many outstanding organizations in Hilliard, such as the Rotary, and the Chamber of Commerce.
As previously stated, I understand the demands that busy working parents deal with; I will be creative in reaching out to the parents via the vast number of student activities/organizations in our district. Each building has a PTO and as a former PTO president at two of the Hilliard Schools, I know that this is a great avenue to utilize for parent outreach.
