Stephen L. Johnson is a judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Northern District of California. He was appointed to the court on October 13, 2010, and his current term will expire on October 13, 2038.[1][2]
Education
Johnson received his undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco and his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law.[1]
Career
Johnson began his career working with creditors' rights and bankruptcy issues in two major law firms. From 1995 to 2002, Johnson was a trial attorney in the United States Trustee’s Office. Just before his appointment as a bankruptcy judge, he was an Assistant United States Attorney in San Francisco, California. Johnson is also an adjunct faculty member at Hastings.[1]
