Stephen S. Bartlett
Stephen S. Bartlett was a family court judge for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly on May 26, 1996 and retired on December 31, 2006.[2][3]
Education
Bartlett received his B.S. in criminal justice administration from Central Missouri State University. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1977.[2]
Career
After earning his degree, Bartlett worked as an assistant city attorney for the City of Greenville. In 1978, he began working as an assistant circuit solicitor for Greenville County. He then served as a municipal court judge for Greenville from 1980 to 1996. Bartlett also taught at Greenville Technical College part-time during this time. He then worked as part of the general faculty of the National Judicial College from 1986 to 1996.[2]
