I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.A. in Communications Studies and attend the William S. Boyd School of Law. In law school, I was a judicial extern in the Eighth Judicial District Court. After law school, I worked as a judicial law clerk for Las Vegas Justice Court. After passing the bar exam, I took a position as an associate attorney handling insurance defense cases, primarily in complex litigation and class action lawsuits. I successfully defended clients in litigation where millions of dollars were at stake in Douglas, Washoe and Clark County District Courts.

In 2006, I founded my own law firm with a colleague. It is here where I learned the trials, challenges, and rewards of running a small business in Nevada. My primary focus was family law, criminal law and personal injury claims. I also served as an arbitrator and volunteer truancy judge. In 2016, I accepted a position with the Office of the Special Public Defender handling complex criminal cases in Clark County. I have received an "AV Preeminent" attorney rating by Martindale-Hubbell, a testament to the fact that my peers have ranked me at the highest level of professional excellence.

  • I will uphold the law and respect the people. I believe in "Justice with Dignity" and am eager to work hard to improve the quality of the judicial system through integrity, honesty and hard work.
  • As a Nevada resident for over 25 years, I am committed to our community and dedicated to progress. Nevada is a great place to live - let's keep it that way.
  • As an experienced, qualified, and highly respected attorney, I pledge to be fair and impartial in applying the law and firm when administering justice.
I am personally passionate about "Justice with Dignity" where each individual in court is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. I believe each person should have their "day in court" to resolve their dispute in a timely and efficient manner. I also believe we need to continue to make efforts for access to the court system for everyone and information easily available to litigants.
My first job at age 16 was sweeping up popcorn at the local movie theater as an usher. To this day, I despise the smell of popcorn. The theater was sold a few months later and I was laid off. I worked my way through high school and college as a gas station cashier, retail manager, call center representative and many other odd jobs to pay my bills. It was my parents who taught me the value of hard work in order to get ahead in life.
No, I believe it is beneficial for a judge to have experience representing clients. Advocating in court for your client is something every judge should have experience in.
