• Excerpt: "Roads must be safe. Growing our economy will increase transportation tax revenue. Alternatives such as pipeline and railroad transportation of fuel will ease maintenance road costs. Public transportation can ease transportation costs as well."

Incumbent Kevin Van Tassell defeated Susan Hacking Horrocks in the Republican convention. Van Tassell defeated Stevens in the general election.
