Susan Bailey

Susan L. Bailey is judge for the municipal courts in North Dakota.[1] She has been a municipal judge since 2004, and has also been an administrative law judge since 2006.[2]
She is a judge of the East Central Judicial District. She was elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins on January 1, 2015, and expires on December 31, 2020.[3][4]

Primary: She was successful in the primary on June 10th, 2014, receiving 26.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Connie Cleveland, Tristan Van de Streek and Adele Page.
General: She defeated Tristan Van de Streek in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 58.0 percent of the vote. Bailey and Van de Streek ran in the runoff (general) election because neither candidate received a majority of the votes in the primary.

Education
Bailey received a B.S. in mathematics, with a minor in psychology and a certification in education, from the University of North Dakota in 1986. She also earned an M.A. in counseling in 1988, and a J.D. in 1997 from the University of North Dakota.[2]
