Campaign themes

2017

Dallman highlighted the following statement on her campaign website:

My name is Terriee Dallman and it is my pleasure to formally announce my candidacy for school board district 2 for Las Cruces Public Schools. I seek this position because as a parent, grandparent, and retired bilingual teacher of 17 years, I feel there is nothing more important than our children's education and future.

As a teacher, my daily question for every lesson or topic addressed was--'How will this lesson impact/enhance my students?' As a school board member, I will continue to apply that philosophy in every decision brought forth to the board whether it's policy, budgetary challenges, staffing (at all levels), testing, etc.

My husband and I have been residents of Las Cruces for over 30 years and LCPS has provided our two daughters an excellent education. Both Natalia and Marisela graduated from Las Cruces High School (Go Dawgs!) and are contributing citizens of their respective communities. My husband, my daughter, and I are all NMSU graduates. Our grandson currently attends Mesilla Elementary. Our family values and supports education; we feel our community will continue to grow and flourish as we move forward.

I am enthusiastic and optimistic about the future of LCPS and I look forward to working collaboratively with my fellow board members. It would be an honor and privilege to continue serving Las Cruces in this capacity. I ask for your consideration and vote for School Board Member, District 2, on February 7, 2017.[7]
