County extension agent is a position in the state of Texas according to the state's constitution

There are 248 counties, out of 254, that have commissioners court-appointed county extension agents who serve and who cover all of the counties.[1] If the candidate has only a Bachelor's degree, they must complete a relevant Master's degree within seven years of employment.
