Thomas Steptoe
Thomas Steptoe was a senior status judge for the West Virginia Circuit Courts, serving in various positions in the courts while officially a retired judge.[1] On October 31, 2014, he was assigned to the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, following the suspension of former Judge Jaymie Godwin Wilfong. Steptoe served on the court for the remainder of Wilfong's term, which expired on December 31, 2016.[2]
From 1985 until his retirement on January 2009, Steptoe served as a judge for the Twenty-Third Judicial Circuit.[3]
Education
Steptoe received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 1974 and his J.D. degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1977.[3]
