Vincent J. Reilly was a justice for the Schenectady County Supreme Court in the 4th Judicial District of New York. He was elected to this position in 2000[1][2] He retired at the end of 2012, due to reaching the mandatory retirement age for judges in New York.[3]

Education

Reilly received his A.B. degree from the College of the Holy Cross and his J.D. degree from Albany Law School in 1967.[1]

Career

Reilly began his career in 1967 as a clerk for the Schenectady City Court. Later that year he became an associate of the Law Office of William J. Quinn, where he worked until 1970. From 1970 to 1984, he was a partner with the law firm of Englert Reilly & McHugh. He also served as an Assistant Schenectady County District Attorney from 1971 to 1977.

Reilly's judicial career began in 1977 when he became judge of the Niskayuna Town Court. He was then elected to the Schenectady County Family Court in 1985. In 2000, he was elected to the Supreme Court.[1]
