Bill Boyd was a municipal court judge for the municipality of Matthews in New Madrid County, Missouri. He was forced to retire due to age in December of 2007. Amy Preyer served as an interim judge until the mayor appointed Boyd's replacement, Fred Thorton III, in April of 2008.[1]
