Betty Owen Stinson was a judge of the New York Supreme Court 12th Judicial District. She assumed office in 2001.

Education

Stinson received her BSBA degree from Auburn University in 1964 and her JD degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1967.[1]

Career

Stinson began her career in 1980 as a self-employed attorney. In 1986, she became a New York principal law secretary. She was then elected to the New York City Civil Court in Bronx County in 1997. She served in that position until her election to the Supreme Court in 2001.[1]
