Thomas Jefferson, formerly Jack Talbert, was a 2012 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Kansas. Talbert legally changed his name to Thomas Jefferson, in an effort to channel the political ideologies of Thomas Jefferson in his 2012 campaign. "Vote for the person not party -- that is what the Thomas Jefferson party is all about."[1].[2][3]
Jefferson lost to Republican incumbent Mike Pompeo on November 6, 2012.[4]
Biography
Jefferson attended a specialized school in information technology from the service school command USNTC San Diego, graduating in March 1987.[5]
He has worked as a small business owner and computer technology service consultant since 1994.[5]

Jefferson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Kansas' 4th District. Jefferson ran on the Libertarian ticket.[2][3] Jefferson lost to Republican incumbent Mike Pompeo on November 6, 2012.[6]
Jefferson legally changed his name from Jack Talbert to Thomas Jefferson on July 23, 2012.[2][3]
