James Carey Thompson was an associate circuit court judge for the 8th Circuit Court in Missouri.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Jay Nixon on September 18, 2009.[2] Thompson initially filed to run for re-election against Lori J. Baskins in 2014, but later withdrew. He retired at the end of his term in December 2014.[3]
Education
Thompson received his undergraduate degree from Cornell College and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School.[2][4]
Military service
Thompson is a Vietnam War veteran and served in the United States Army.[2]
