Marsha Smith is a former member of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, the state agency charged with regulating the state's utility companies. She served in this position from her appointment in 1991 until her retirement in 2015.[1] She was replaced by Kristine Raper.[2]
Biography
Smith served four terms on the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. Prior to her appointment mission, Smith was deputy attorney general in the business regulation/consumer affairs division of the Idaho Attorney General's Office and was deputy attorney general for the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.[1]

Smith served as a member of the public utilities commission from 1991-2015. She was appointed by then-Idaho Governor Cecil D. Andrus. She was president of the commission for her first four years in office.[1] Smith was re-appointed to three subsequent terms and retired in 2015.[2]
